Hi,
What kind of hardware are you using to run your scheduler? As I mentioned
in my previous mail, playlist handling is directly related to CPU speed.
But that wouldn't explain why 7 minute files aren't playing.
Are you scheduling the playlists back-to-back? If your CPU isn't able to
parse the playlists in time, the playlists start late, which leads to
collisions further down the road; the first playlist plays, but the second
playlist does not because the player was still busy with the first one.
It would be generally a good idea to go with shorter playlists (i.e. under
2 hours, but possibly 1 hour or less if you have an older CPU).
Here's something to try to troubleshoot: Do the files play in other media
players like Totem or Amarok? If not, the problem is the file. If they
play fine, the problem is probably on the scheduler side. But also note
that Campcaster only plays Ogg Vorbis and MP3 files; other files will not
be played (in fact, the input should not allow other formats).
Hope this helps,
douglas

to say the truth, it plays and doesn't play at will. I tried playlists of
7 minutes, some of more, and sometimes they play, sometimes they don't.
I'm really not sure what to do. Is it a problem of some corrupt mp3 file?
