Newbe - can't get airtime install script to run

I ran the easy setup package first, then downloaded the airtime package and untarred it in my home/Downloads folder on Ubuntu.  No matter what I try, I can't get the script in install_full/ubuntu/airtime-full-install to run.  I did a chmod +x but it was already set as executable.
