Problems regarding new installation

I am new to airtime but not new to icecast or shoucast related technologies. We own a non-profit Political radio station in Athens Greece. We have at the time 3 studios in 3 different places in Greece. We broadcast through fm too in our own antenna. 

We are using darkice for streaming currently from our icecast2 server.

I have a virtual ubuntu server 10.04 for testing the air time 1.9.5 in a xen server enviroment. I want to use it as icecast2 server and playlist server the times we do not have a live program.

i will use fallback sources for icecast so the producers will open the stream and play and when they finish they close it and continue play the playlist or the pre-recorded shows.

i am having this 3 problems 

a) when i tried to upload through the web interface of air music i am getting the http error on the files. when i upload through ftp or sftp files to a monitored folder on the server the files appear correctly to the playlist builder.

b) i see test program start immediately after the scheduled time but i cannot hear anything from the vlc player nor web player i made for testing 

c) my stream is mp3 and in my main server i user mountpoint with no .mp3 for example ip:8000/playlist instead of ip:8000/playlist.mp3. I have tried both but the problem is the same. i have cut down all vorbis to false and when i  remove "#" from  #output_bitrate = 128 and #output_samplerate = 44100 and #output_stereo = true the stream remains down ... i tried even to connect it to a remote server in a new source i created and i get the same problem ...

Do i need to show you anything else for you to help me regarding this matters i am on ?
