having this sort of time travel into the past is stretching it a little
bit. but let's see how it goes

LiveSupport 1.0.1 works with PHP 4.x. What is the exact error you get?

library dependencies are described in the tarball under doc/instal.html,

as for the minimum hardware requirements, you're right - so far it's
been more-or-less working on all sorts of hardware we've installed it
on. but maybe your 9 year old machine will be the one that's too old for
it
