Hello:
I have been trying to help our local student radio station use FLOSS
solutions, one being CampCaster, but I am loosing the battle.
We have a mixer-board with firewire for audio transport (
http://www.tascam.com/products/fw-1082.html), but it appears I need newer
version of Ubuntu than Hardy to get the more recent FFADO drivers, but
CampCaster does not work on the latter versions. I have looked for PPA and
backport repos and have tried to compile FFADO for Hardy with no success.
1. Can CampCaster run in a Hardy CHROOT on a 9.10 based workstation?
2. Should I switch to Debian and use apt pinning?
3. Has anyone had similar experiences?
Thank you and regards,
Tom
