Hi Mike,

I had a similar problem last week. Here's what a friend told me:

regarding campcaster and ubuntu - i think i would wait until the
repository for 8.10 comes out... you can try installing the .deb files
from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.phpgroup_id=136949&package_id=222168&release_id=550872
the .deb files should install the dependencies automatically.

the issue is really that there isn't an official ubuntu release of
campcaster for 8.10 yet. you can try putting the dapper repository in
there, but i am not sure if it will work:
http://code.campware.org/manuals/campcaster/1.4/index.php?id=126

I didn't have any luck with the .deb file link or the dapper repository.
So maybe it is just a matter of waiting until the new release comes out.
