Uploaded files not showing in library and not connecting to Icecast server

I have a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS box. Installed Airtime 2.2 using Synaptic. I can log in as admin, change password, add users and set their roles. I can upload files and can see them in /srv/airtime/stor/organize. However when I open the library there is nothing there and the search function does not show anything. On top of this it will not connect to an Icecast server on the same box nor on a separate computer. This even though I am using the same credentials that I use in Mixxx or IDJC and can connect to either of them without a problem.
